YORK, Pa. -- Rutter's Farm Stores has added the Oreo Churro and Krispie Treat to its snack and dessert menu, the central Pennsylvania convenience-store retailer has announced.
The Oreo Churro is seven inches of Oreo cookie twist, which is fried to a crisp and served with a dipping cup of Oreo creme. The Krispie Treat is marshmallow and crispy rice cereal mixed together, then cut into rectangles and individually wrapped.
"We constantly adjust and improve our dessert offering to appeal to a broad spectrum of customers," said Jerry Weiner, Rutter's vice president of foodservice.
The new treats join cannoli, fried cheesecake bites and traditional cheesecake pieces on Rutter's dessert menu.
On the foodservice side, Rutter's also recently introduced Basket Meals, offering chicken strips, beef short ribs, jumbo wings, mahi-mahi bites or Bada Bing shrimp. VIP Club rewards members earn five cents off per gallon on fuel with every basket meal purchase.
