Facebook fans choose two new Dum Dums flavors

BRYAN, Ohio -- Spangler Candy Co.'s Dum Dums lollipop brand asked its Facebook fans to choose the next two flavors in a tournament style competition. They voted for Peach Mango and Raspberry Lemonade.

In July and early August, the company asked fans to vote for their favorite mash-up or combo flavor with the top mash-up from each week advancing to the next round. The finals featured a race between four finalists, with Peach Mango and Raspberry Lemonade beating Blueberry Lemonade and Strawberry Lemonade and emerging as the top selections.

"We're thrilled to give Facebook fans a voice in the selection of the next Dum Dums flavors," said Dum Dums brand manager Evan Brock. "Flavor mash-ups are very popular right now, and Dum Dums fans have selected two delicious combinations."

Peach-Mango and Raspberry Lemonade will hit stores in the spring of 2013 replacing Dulce de Leche and Mango, which will go on hiatus. Fans can vote for their favorite flavor at www.dumdumpops.com.
