GLENDALE, Calif. -- Let’s say the kids don’t like the candy they collect this Halloween. Candy-maker Willy Wonka is making it worth their while by planning a candy exchange through select retailers.
On the “32 Days of WonkaWeen,” consumers 13 years or older may exchange unwanted Halloween candy for Wonka sugar candies for free. Each person may receive up to 32 pieces of regular-sized Wonka candies such as Nerds, Laffy Taffy and Sweetarts, while supplies last.
This once-in-a-lifetime Halloween offer will be available only at participating IT’SUGAR candy stores in select cities nationwide on Nov. 1. Details can be found at Facebook.com/Wonka.
“The Wonka Candy Exchange is the perfect way to end our WonkaWeen festivities,” said Wonka spokesperson Tricia Bowles of Nestlé USA Confections & Snacks Division. “Everyone ends up with a pile of candy they don’t like after Halloween, so who better to turn a negative into a very sweet positive but Willy Wonka himself.”
IT’SUGAR stores in New York/Long Island; Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Los Angeles; Santa Clara, Calif.; Dallas; and Scottsdale, Ariz., will participate in the Wonka Candy Exchange from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and again from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 1, while supplies last.
Wonka opened its doors in 1983. Since that time, WONKA® has been dedicated to the art of producing fun, innovative, high-quality confections for candy lovers of all ages. It is a division of Nestle USA, Glendale, Calif.
