LAS VEGAS -- Between the looming cost of the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) deeming regulations and the agency’s most recent not substantially equivalent (NSE) orders removing four cigarette products from the shelves, it’s not so easy to launch a new product in the world of tobacco. Yet, at this year’s NACS Show, a number of manufacturers showcased exciting new products and improvements to existing product lines.
In vape, multiple vendors offered up high tech products aimed at helping the convenience channel better compete with the fast-growing vape shop segment. Meanwhile, other tobacco products (OTP) was all about providing retailers with easier-to-merchandise product solutions. And new flavor options were seemingly everywhere.
