Republic Tobacco Introduces Washington Pipe Tobacco

Available in regular, menthol and gold varieties

GLENVIEW, Ill. -- Republic Tobacco, a privately held company that makes the Drum brand of loose tobacco in the United States, has introduced Washington Pipe Tobacco.

Available in regular, menthol and gold medium and large bags, the new blend is a flavorful combination of premium tobaccos with a smooth, mellow taste. With Washington, retailers can satisfy the demand for a great pipe tobacco at a "revolutionary" low price, the company said.

Washington Pipe Tobacco Medium bags are packed 36 per case and large bags are packed 12 per case. The resealable bags maintain product freshness and flavor.

In addition to the standard packaging, floor display offers will be available.

Republic Tobacco's major product lines include cigarette tobacco, cigarette papers, filtered tubes, accessories, pipe tobacco and cigars. Other brands Republic owns include Top tobacco and Job rolling papers.

Glenview, Ill.-based Republic Tobacco is owned by DRL Enterprises, a holding company founded in 1969 by Chicago entrepreneur Donald Levin. DRL has businesses in aircraft, medical equipment, machinery leasing, film making and licensed sports product manufacturing.
