Swisher International Consolidates Sales, Marketing

Miller joins company as senior vice president

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Swisher International Inc. has announced that John J. Miller has joined the company as senior vice president of sales and marketing, and that it has consolidated its sales and marketing functions under his leadership.

With more than 25 years in the industry, Miller most recently served as executive vice president at California-based The Page Group, where he consulted with companies to promote products and increase sales. In that capacity, Miller worked directly with Swisher to assist in the successful launch of its new electronic cigarette product offerings.

"With Peter Ghiloni's promotion from senior vice president of marketing to Swisher's incoming president and Paul Arvia's retirement as senior vice president of sales, we decided that merging our sales and marketing teams was a model for future growth. John's experience in our industry and with Swisher's products gives him a unique understanding of the challenges that our company faces in a very competitive business environment," said Tom Ryan, CEO of Swisher International, who is set to retire on Jan. 1, 2013.

"As the industry, and our company, continues to evolve and adapt to the ever-changing marketplace, we are confident that Swisher will benefit from John's demonstrated abilities to successfully launch products, increase sales and lead successful sales and marketing organizations," he said. "We are excited to welcome John to the Swisher family."

Incoming president Peter Ghiloni, to whom Miller will report, added, "John's experience, enthusiasm and innovative style positions Swisher perfectly for the future as we continue to grow our core businesses and expand our product offerings."
