Tobacco Expo Set for Las Vegas in 2018

Organizers intend to ‘step up their game’ for show exhibiting latest in tobacco, vaping

LAS VEGAS -- Organizers of the Tobacco Plus Expo (TPE) are preparing for next year’s show with a roster of educational speakers and new marketing opportunities for suppliers scheduled into the agenda, coordinators said.

Set for Jan. 31 through Feb. 1, 2018, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, TPE is positioned at the beginning of the year to help retailers restock their stores after the holidays, according to planners. Another important goal is to connect attendees with exhibitors from the vapor and alternative categories.

In terms of educational sessions, this year’s show will feature seminars by industry experts such as Tyler Goldman, CEO of Pax Labs, San Francisco; increased marketing efforts to fully support its exhibitors; networking opportunities; and a roster of buyers.

Organizers have moved the official show lodging to the SLS Hotel to inject the show with energy and entertainment, they said.

“We’re stepping up our game again this year,” said Jason Carignan, chief marketing officer of Kretek International Inc., Moorpark, Calif., and one of the planners of the show. “We received such great feedback from our 2017 attendees, which we’ve incorporated into the plans for this year. We are aiming to make TPE more than just another industry trade show. It’s going to be the trade show to attend.”

“This year, we’ll also be giving our exhibitors an enhanced experience,” said Ben Stimpson, managing director of Tobacco Media Group (TMG), a Kretek-owned entity that organizes the show. “We’ll be offering additional visibility to help drive traffic to exhibitor booths and ultimately helping to drive sales as well.”

TMG is offering early-bird specials through September 2017 to exhibitors looking to secure space and start receiving the benefits of TPE marketing. For information about exhibiting at TPE 2018 or attending, click here.
