Two Tobacco Resources Debut

CSP unveils new online tools to track FDA, local regulation

CHICAGO -- CSP editors have developed two new online resources to supplement their coverage of the tobacco category in CSP Daily News and the weekly Tobacco E-News.

The first is a microsite, CSP Tobacco Regulation Report, dedicated to following regulatory movements from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The second is a monthly newsletter tracking legislative activities at the state and local level.

The microsite can be found at www.CSPDailyNews.com/tobacco-regulation-report. CSP subscribers who already receive the weekly Tobacco E-News should receive an email once a month as editors update the page with a new chapter. So far, the Regulation Report has reviewed the FDA’s actions going back to the start of 2017 and looked at issues the industry will face in 2018. It will eventually become a repository for all recent, tobacco-related activity on the federal level.

The new monthly e-newsletter, which launches in January, focuses on state and local legislative issues. Readers who receives CSP’s online tobacco publications will also receive this regular email called Tobacco Legislation Watch. The newsletter will distill the dozens of tobacco-related, lawmaking actions—big and small—happening in governing bodies across the nation.

The goal of these two new online tools is to keep retailers informed about the fast-moving tobacco category. Click here to subscribe to CSP's tobacco e-newsletters.
