Circle K has partnered with Horticulture Co. and NBA Hall of Famer Allen Iverson to launch the IVERSON line of hemp beverages, marking a significant expansion of THC products in convenience retail.

The launch, which began Monday, establishes Horticulture Co.'s products as one of the anchor THC beverage offerings in Circle K beverage sets across authorized markets nationwide, positioning THC drinks as a fixture in mainstream convenience retail—a notable shift for the industry.

"As consumer preferences continue to shift toward wellness-focused and functional products, Circle K is proud to be at the forefront of responsible adult beverage retail in legal markets," said Rebekah Stevenson, Circle K's head of packaged beverage. "Partnering on the national rollout of Allen Iverson's hemp beverage line with Tempter's allows us to meet growing demand with a product that aligns with our values—innovation, quality and safety. We're committed to offering customers new, regulated alternatives in a trusted environment, while leading the way in the evolving beverage space—responsibly."

  • Alimentation Couche-Tard is No. 2 on CSP’s 2025 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by store count.

The partnership comes as industry experts emphasize the critical need for collaboration between retailers and suppliers around cannabis derived products.

Circle K, owned by Laval, Quebec-based Alimentation Couche-Tard, recently started selling THC beverages at select stores and has been actively involved in industry education efforts. The convenience chain has participated in educational sessions about THC beverages, sharing insights with other retailers interested in the category, and are a member of the CSP Cannabis Board.

The IVERSON line features three flavors:

  • Bubba Chuck Berry – a fruity blend inspired by Iverson's nickname
  • Cran-Apple Crossover – a crisp fusion referencing his basketball moves
  • 96 Nectarine – celebrating the year he entered the NBA

The beverages are low-dose, plant-powered drinks designed for consumers seeking alternatives to alcohol. They blend premium THC with natural fruit flavors for a controlled experience.

Beyond Circle K, the products are available at Specs and Total Wine locations nationwide, as well as online at drinkviola.com.
