The 2025 NACS Show kicked off Tuesday at Chicago’s McCormick Place, bringing together tens of thousands of convenience retailers, suppliers and more for education sessions, networking and a tradeshow floor packed with new products.
More than 23,000 people from over 70 countries typically attend the biggest annual event in c-store retailing.
When the tradeshow opens Wednesday, more than 1,200 exhibitors are expected to display their products over 430,000 square feet of expo space. Exhibitors will represent facility operations, foodservice, fuel equipment and services, in-store merchandise and technology.
The NACS Show also offers a host of education sessions on topics ranging from business strategy to category management to foodservice, marketing, fuels and more.
On Friday, Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes, best known as Jay and Silent Bob from the classic c-store-centric movie “Clerks,” will present a keynote closing session, talking about their careers, branding and effective storytelling.
They will fill in for “Jeopardy!” host Ken Jennings, who had been announced as the closing speaker in May but was no longer available, according to NACS.
On Thursday night, CSP will present Rutter’s CEO Scott Hartman with the Retail Leader of the Year award.
