
Private label brands from convenience stores are continuing to gain momentum, with several major chains earning top honors in the Private Label Manufacturers Association’s (PLMA) Salute to Excellence Awards.
Casey’s General Stores Inc., Ankeny, Iowa; 7-Eleven, Irving Texas; Yesway, Fort Worth, Texas; and bp, Chicago, were among this year’s c-store winners.
The annual awards recognize outstanding food and nonfood products introduced over the past year across supermarkets, drug stores, mass merchandisers, convenience stores, online retailers, wholesalers and more.
For the 2025 competition, nearly 850 products were nominated by 50 North American retailers. A panel of professional and consumer judges evaluated entries based on taste and sensory appeal, packaging, product concept and value.
- 7-Eleven is No. 1 on CSP’s 2025 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by store count. Casey’s General Stores Inc. is No. 3, bp is No. 5and Yesway is No. 19.
C-store products in the food and drinks category included:
- Mexican/Latin American foods: Yesway’s Chamoy Chili Gummi Bears
- Coffee cold brew and iced: Casey’s Signature RTD Coffee
- Energy drinks and shots: 7-Eleven’s 7-Select Fusion Energy Shot
- Iced tea and lemonades: bp’s epic goods strawberry lemonade 11-ounce
“The winners are a testament to the power of store brands in driving business success in all retail formats,” said PLMA President Peggy Davies. “They represent the highest level of innovation, ingenuity and achievement.”
