Berkley’s Market is officially open in Dallas’ State Thomas neighborhood in the Uptown district at 2822 McKinney Ave., which previously served as a Foxtrot Café & Market. Chicago-based Foxtrot, which shuttered all 33 of its stores unexpectedly in April, on Tuesday said it plans to reopen its first Dallas location on Friday at 3130 Knox St.
The new 4,100-square-foot Berkley’s Market opened its doors on Wednesday and features gourmet goods, prepared foods, specialty coffee and beer and wine. It also includes indoor seating and an outdoor patio.
“We’re all about creating a neighborhood hub where convenience meets community,” said Zac Porter, founder of Berkley’s Market.
It also serves as a “test kitchen,” allowing the retailer's team to experiment with new prepared food offerings, the retailer said.
“We’re going all in on our prepared foods,” Porter added. “Our partnership with La Colombe for coffee, paired with local pastries from La Casita and Shug’s bagels, ensures top-tier quality and hopefully everyone’s favorites.”
The retailer now operates two other Dallas locations at 3300 Knox St, Suite 200 and 2001 Ross Ave, Suite 150. Other locations are in the works but no other details have been announced, the retailer said.
