
Buc-ee’s will open the doors to its first Arkansas travel center on Aug. 17. The site in Benton will open at 6 a.m. At 10 a.m., there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Buc-ee’s Benton location will occupy 74,000 square feet, offer 120 fueling positions and bring more than 200 new jobs to the area, the company said.

"We obviously picked Benton, the ‘Heart of Arkansas', to be the first Buc-ee's in the Natural State,” said Stan Beard, director of real estate and development of Buc-ee’s. “Folks on their way to or from Hot Springs or any number of beautiful destinations around Benton and Little Rock will stop in for our great Texas BBQ, the cleanest restrooms in the universe and a pit stop beyond their wildest expectations."
Buc-ee’s signature offerings, including barbeque, fudge, kolaches, Beaver Nuggets, jerky and fresh pastries, will all be available, as well as apparel featuring mascot Bucky the Beaver.
With the opening of its Benton location, Buc-ee's will operate 58 stores across the United States, with locations in Texas, Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
The Lake Jackson, Texas-based chain recently started construction on its first Wisconsin location. The travel center is located in the city of Oak Creek and is expected to open in early 2028, according to a post on the city of Oak Creek government Facebook page. Oak Creek is on the shore of Lake Michigan, about 13 miles south of downtown Milwaukee and about 85 miles north of Chicago.
