On the heels of the news June 24 that it plans to add 400 convenience stores in the next three years, Casey’s General stores has announced 10 leadership updates to support strategic growth.
“These leadership changes help position Casey’s to continue delivering sustained growth while advancing our strategic priorities over the next three years,” Darren Rebelez, president and CEO of Casey’s, said in a statement shared with CSP.
A Casey’s spokesperson told CSP that the changes within its extended leadership team are designed to strengthen strategic execution, build organizational resilience and support long-term growth as the company prepares to embark on its next three-year strategic plan. These changes took effect June 28.
- Casey’s General Stores is No. 3 on CSP’s 2026 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by store count.
Doug Means is now senior vice president, chief information officer. He was senior vice president of supply chain and efficiency.
Sam James has been promoted to senior vice president, finance and investor relations. He was vice president, sourcing and procurement.
Brian Johnson has stepped into a role exclusively focused on mergers and acquisitions as senior vice president, business development. He was senior vice president, investor relations and business development.
Steven Robins has transitioned to vice president, real estate, from vice president of finance.
Kendra Meyer has moved into the role of vice president, sourcing and procurement, from vice president of real estate.
Chris Stewart has assumed a newly created role as vice president, fuels. He was vice president of merchandising.
Fareed Siddiqui has been promoted to vice president, merchandising (grocery and general merchandise), from vice president of CEFCO merchandising and marketing. In November 2024, Casey's acquired all 198 CEFCO stores from Fikes Wholesale for $1.145 billion.
Pierre Hakim has taken on an expanded role as vice president, enterprise strategy, data and AI.
Josh Gondek has been promoted to the newly created role of vice president, distribution operations. He was senior director of grocery transportation.
Finally, Dave Johnson retired from Casey’s effective April 30. Johnson was a division vice president, according to his LinkedIn profile. Following his retirement, Kim Lippert was promoted to division vice president. She was director, acquisition and operations implementation, from February 1993 to April 2026, according to her LinkedIn page.
