One convenience-store veteran is leaving the industry, while another one is returning.
Corey Nicely is leaving Knoxville, Tennessee-based Pilot Co. after six years for Sesh Products, according to a LinkedIn post.
Nicely’s role is key account manager at Dover, Delaware-based Sesh Products, which makes modern smoking cessation products
Nicely, won CSP’snonalcohol category manager of the year award in 2024, started at Pilot in February 2019 as a category coordinator, moving up over time to become category manager in July 2022, according to her LinkedIn profile.
She is pictured above when she won the CSP award.
In her goodbye post from last week, she wrote, “As I wrap up my last day at Pilot, I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t take a minute to reflect on the last six years and give credit where credit is due.”
“The people? Amazing,” she wrote. “From the people who mentored me both within the walls of Pilot and out, to my co-workers who turned into lifelong friends, to the interns who I loved seeing grow into professionals, and to the vendor partners that I was lucky enough to work with along the way, all of you have left a lasting impact on me. I wouldn’t have gotten to where I am in my career without each and every one of you.”
She added, “The experiences? Surreal. From store tours in new states with my team, to receiving the Category Manager of the Year award for Non-Alcohol, to speaking at conferences in front of my peers at NACS, the [CSP’s] Cold Vault Forum, CRU [CSP’s Convenience Retailing University], and Bevnet Life, these experiences wouldn’t have been possible without the support and mentorship from my leadership and peers that pushed me to be the best version of myself.”
Prior to Pilot, Nicely worked at Dick’s Sporting Goods for nearly six years. She was an assistant store manager when she left.
