Alimentation Couche-Tard has opened the first of three new distribution centers that will expand its North American supply chain. The new 266,000-square-foot Otsego, Minnesota, facility will support nearly 500 Holiday Stationstores and Circle K sites across the Upper Midwest.

Additional facilities in Hazelwood, Missouri, and Lockbourne, Ohio, will open in December and January. Once all three are online, Couche-Tard’s self-distribution network will support about 3,200 stores across North America. These include existing facilities in Texas, Arizona and Quebec and roughly 1,600 stores across 14 states in this new regional cluster.

  • Alimentation Couche-Tard is No. 2 on CSP’s 2025 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by store count.

Operated by Temple, Texas-based McLane Co., the Otsego distribution center employs about 150 people.

“This facility is a key part of our effort to build world-class distribution capabilities that support our stores and deliver a more consistent and rewarding experience for our customers,” said Trey Powell, senior vice president of global merchandising at Couche-Tard, Laval, Quebec. “With partners like McLane and Ryan Companies, we're creating a more integrated and aligned supply chain, improving speed, accuracy and availability and executing our merchandising initiatives with greater quality and efficiency.”

Officials from Couche-Tard, McLane and the project’s construction and architectural partner, Ryan Cos. U.S. Inc., Minneapolis, Minnesota, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
