Dresser Names New President for Wayne

Thomas was president NA ops, VP global business development

AUSTIN, Texas -- Energy industry equipment and services supplier Dresser Inc. has named Neil H. Thomas as worldwide president of its Dresser Wayne division, which supplies fuel dispensers, pumps, peripherals and point-of-sale (POS) and site monitoring systems and software for the retail fueling industry.

Thomas, who most recently served as president of Dresser Wayne's North American operations, joined Dresser Wayne in 2003 as vice president of global business development.

"Neil has been instrumental in the development of Dresser [image-nocss] Wayne's global strategy and product development," said John P. Ryan, president and COO of Dresser Inc. "He has been very successful in managing Dresser Wayne's North American business and has also played a substantial role in the establishment of Dresser Wayne's operations in China and the recent acquisition and integration of the distribution business of Nuovo Pignone in Europe."

Prior to joining Austin, Texas-based Dresser Wayne, Thomas had management positions with Tokheim Corp., Arthur D. Little Inc. and Chevron Corp.

Thomas succeeds Ryan, who was appointed president and COO of Dallas-based Dresser Inc. in December 2004.
