EagleStores parent company R&R Takhar Oil Co., unveiled a schematic of its new corporate headquarters in Dayton, Ohio, a landmark project that represents a major milestone in its nearly 30-year existence, according to Jovi Takhar, senior associate for R&R Takhar.
The new campus, scheduled to open in 2026, will debut in two phases: phase No. 1 involves activation of a new Shell-branded retail facility and a trucking facility, scheduled for March.
Phase No. 2 features the opening of the headquarters and is expected to start in late 2026. Once completed, the headquarters will bring together 65 to 70 employees from management, logistics, transport and construction teams.
This number does not include retail store employees, as the company continue to “grow rapidly by acquiring, building and leasing out sites across multiple states. Because of this ongoing expansion, our total employee count fluctuates and continues to grow each year,” Takhar said.
Having retail operations “just steps away from our management and logistics teams allows us to experiment with new layouts, technologies and customer experience concepts in real time,” said Takhar.
R&R Takhar owns and operates five true c-stores, with the rest of its portfolio in fueling stations. One recent example of its expansion involved moving into Indiana earlier this year—as part of the acquisition of Princeton, Indiana-based Fuel Mart from Ports Petroleum.
The company plans to rebuild a store in Princeton, to feature “updated fueling infrastructure, inviting store layout and a clean, customer-focused design,” said Takhar.
One unique aspect of the project is that the c-store located at the HQ site in Dayton is a way to “unify the organization” across several platforms, he said. The multi-faceted footprint will feature the new EagleStores c-store, a 6,500-square-foot retail operation with 20 fueling positions.
In addition, there’s the 8,500-square-foot corporate office along with a 9,500-square-foot facility for R&R Takhar Transport, which manages the company’s extensive fuel-hauling operations. Plus, the property includes dedicated parking for its trucking fleet.
With the store positioned on the HQ property, this allows the company to have a “real-world testing ground where our operations, construction and retail teams can collaborate closely,” said Takhar. “Having our retail operations just steps away from our management and logistics teams allows us to experiment with new layouts, technologies and customer experience concepts in real time. It’s a true example of how we’re integrating every part of our business—from construction and design to supply and retail—into one unified ecosystem.”
Takhar added: “This project symbolizes the next chapter for our family-run company. From our first store to now, it’s been an incredible journey of growth, partnerships and innovation—and this new headquarters sets the tone for the next generation to take R&R Takhar to new heights.”
Long-term partnerships
R&R Takhar Oil, which supplies fuel to over 350 locations and owns nearly 100 convenience stores across the Midwest, continues to accelerate its expansion.
The company plans to grow significantly across all divisions—developing new EagleStores locations, acquiring strategic sites, and scaling its transport and logistics capabilities to meet increasing demand.
“Our commitment to community, quality, and long-term partnerships has always been our foundation,” added Takhar. “This new headquarters isn’t just an investment in our company—it’s an investment in the future of Dayton and the Midwest fuel and retail landscape.”
The EagleStores location will be one of its largest and most advanced to date, he said, showcasing the newest version of its EagleStores design that’s complete with upgraded interior finishes, modern branding and an expanded foodservice program.
“We’re adding more made-to-order and grab-and-go offerings than any of our previous locations, reflecting how the convenience retail landscape continues to evolve toward fresh food and higher-quality service,” said Takhar. “It’s larger than most of our existing stores, and we view it as a flagship model for where the EagleStores brand is heading in the years ahead.”
Looking ahead to 2026, Takhar’s focus will remain on steady and strategic expansion.
“We plan to purchase approximately 10 operating sites and open eight to 10 new-to-industry stores across Ohio, Indiana and surrounding states. Our goal is to continue developing top-tier convenience stores that not only enhance our brand but also bring something new to each community we enter—from innovative store layouts to modern design and elevated foodservice offerings.”
