The first ExtraMile store has opened in Florida. The convenience store, operated by Chevron marketer G.W. Hunter and its President Freddy Patel, is located at 768 NW 120th Terrace in Gainesville, Florida, the Florida Petroleum Marketers Association (FPMA) said on its website.

The flagship store marks the beginning of a growing ExtraMile pipeline across Florida, with additional locations already in development, FPMA said.

The store opened on June 19, Brad Wolford, general manager of sales for ExtraMile Convenience Stores, told CSP on Monday. The next states targeted for growth are Louisiana and Texas, he said, and ExtraMile aims to open more than 250 new locations within the next five years.

“Our expansion of the ExtraMile brand into Florida is a direct investment in the success of our dedicated Chevron and Texaco retailers and marketers,” Wolford said. “The convenience landscape is shifting rapidly, and consumers want more than just a place to fill up. By bringing this proven, world-class backcourt experience to the Sunshine State, we are giving our local business partners the tools, programs and brand power they need to capture new revenue streams and thrive in a highly competitive market.”

Patel a franchisee of the location, and he is operating the store as a company-owned and -operated location under G.W. Hunter, Wolford said.
