Former GetGo Café + Market President Terri Micklin has joined 7-Eleven as senior vice president of store development and facilities.
Micklin, who left the Giant Eagle-owned c-store chain after it was sold to Alimentation Couche-Tard, posted the announcement to her LinkedIn on Monday.
“As 7-Eleven embarks on its plan to open 1,300 new stores across North America by 2030, I will play a pivotal role in executing this vision, overseeing critical areas including facilities, energy, design, development and construction, and ensuring that our brand continues to thrive and evolve to meet the needs of our customers and communities,” Micklin’s post said, in part.
Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven has said it plans to grow its U.S. footprint as its Tokyo-based parent company Seven & i Holdings remains in talks with Alimentation Couche-Tard about a possible merger.
In her post, Micklin also gave a shout out to her former GetGo team, which she said, “has always risen to the challenges, delivering exceptional results while rallying and supporting one another.”
GetGo's Vice President of Operations Mike Maraldo will be leading the business unit following Micklin’s departure, the company previously confirmed to CSP.
Supermarket chain Giant Eagle agreed to sell its GetGo convenience stores to Circle K owner Alimentation Couche-Tard in August. Micklin joined Giant Eagle in 2022 and became executive vice president and president of GetGo in 2023. Before that, she was with convenience-store chain Wawa for more than 20 years.
