Foxtrot Café & Market on Thursday plans to open its first new-build location since the urban convenience-store chain reopened in September, following the bankruptcy of its former parent company.

The seventh Chicago location is located at 935 W. Webster Ave. in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood.

The urban convenience-store chain closed all of its stores in April 2024, and parent company Outfox Hospitality later declared bankruptcy. But Foxtrot's original owners revived the concept, and have since reopened Chicago stores in Gold Coast, Old TownWicker ParkFulton Market and River North. In Dallas, Foxtrot has reopened two locations.

“This new store represents the next chapter for Foxtrot as we continue growing in neighborhoods we love,” said Mike LaVitola, Foxtrot’s chairman. “Lincoln Park has been an important part of our story from the beginning, and we’re excited to deepen our roots here with a fresh new space designed to better serve the neighborhood.”

The new store will feature unique design elements, including a patio with 25 seats and build components designed by Marco Veneziano Interiors, the company said.

The updated menu features new breakfast tacos on locally produced tortillas and house-made smoothies.

The chain also launched a line of eight gummy mixes this month with different shapes, textures and flavors. They include Scandinavian candies, fruity foam mushrooms, tart rainbow belts, sour strawberry skulls and more.

Foxtrot’s coffee flavors include seasonal options like the Cookie Top Latte and Toasted Coconut Matcha Latte. Alongside an expanded café menu, the store will showcase Foxtrot’s selection of goods, featuring new offerings from local artisans and CPG brands.

The Lincoln Park location is offering several deals this week. On Thursday, customers can get a free coffee from 6-11 a.m. and a free Lincoln Park tote with a purchase of $50 or more. On Friday, vendors will offer free samples. Saturday, customers can get slow pour samples of Big Face coffee, a free kid’s donut with any purchase and $7 pours of Grass Stains Sauvy B and Sun Lips Rosé all day.
