Fresh Stop has named Matt Pickelsimer as its new president and Kelly Bacon as CFO, according to a LinkedIn post on Monday from the Greenville, South Carolina-based c-store chain.
With over two decades of leadership experience across the convenience store, restaurant and car wash industries, Pickelsimer will now oversee Fresh Stop’s strategic growth initiatives, drive operational efficiency and strengthen the company’s focus on customer experience across all locations.

Prior to his new role, Pickelsimer (pictured above) served as senior vice president at Mammoth Holdings, a car wash operating platform. He led a 155-store portfolio to a 14% same-store sales increase, reduced customer churn by 60 basis points and achieved $2.3 million in annual savings through vendor consolidation, the company said on LinkedIn.
In the c-store channel, Pickelsimer has held leadership roles at Murphy USA, El Dorado, Arkansas, and 7-Eleven, Irving, Texas.
“I’m honored to join the talented team at Fresh Stop and excited about the opportunity to continue building something great. I look forward to helping the company deliver consistent excellence across all locations,” Pickelsimer said.

With more than 25 years of experience in finance and operations within the convenience store, fuel and car wash industries, Bacon (pictured above) brings “deep expertise to Fresh Stop’s financial strategy and infrastructure,” the company said.
Prior to joining Fresh Stop, Bacon led the accounting, treasury and tax teams at The Wills Group, La Plata, Maryland. She also worked at Royal Farms, where she modernized financial operations by streamlining close processes and supported multiple mergers and acquisition efforts.
Fresh Stop is a privately owned company founded in 2024 with 31 stores in Florida, Arkansas and Texas, according to the company’s LinkedIn page. According to its website, seven of those locations are open, and the rest are listed as "coming soon." Fresh Stop could not immediately be reached by CSP for more details.
