Haskel Thompson & Associates Acquires National Executive Personnel

Convenience/fuels executive search firms join forces

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Haskel Thompson & Associates, a leading executive search firm in the convenience store and retail/wholesale fuels industry, has announced that it has completed the acquisition of National Executive Personnel & Marketing Group LC, an executive recruiting and consulting company in the fuels and convenience store sectors.

Largo, Fla.-based National Executive Personnel is a major player in the field of executive search recruiting and management consulting with clients that have included BP Amoco, Sunoco, ExxonMobil, 7-Eleven, Speedway SuperAmerica [image-nocss] and many independents.

"The completion of this acquisition represents another step for Haskel Thompson & Associates in our strategy to accelerate growth in our core executive recruiting business," said Haskel Thompson, president of Haskel Thompson & Associates.

In 1979, Haskel established the first executive recruiting firm dedicated solely to the convenience store and retail/wholesale petroleum sectors, it said. Haskel's specialties evolved to encompass other activities in the refining, supply-chain, human resource, engineering, manufacturing, real estate and logistics arenas, among others.

Along with a unique search process technology, Haskel Thompson & Associates offers its client base flexible engagement agreements, candidate replacement courtesies and references and testimonials. Its team of highly experienced professionals is recognized as among the best in the industry.

The company, which serves a client base composed of top retail chains, independent jobbers and resellers, family-operated companies, leading industry vendors and Fortune 500 corporations, has placed thousands of multi-million-dollar producers with hundreds of companies across North America and beyond.

"This acquisition has increased the depth and breadth of our sales coverage in the retail and wholesale marketplace," said Haskell. "As a result, we also now have a greater presence in targeted areas where we see additional opportunities for growth, as well as greater geographical coverage."
