Kwik Trip Eyes Growth to the North

Plans 15 new stores for 2013, including Superior/Duluth market

SUPERIOR, Wis. -- Kwik Trip is eying a new market: Superior, Wis. The La Crosse, Wis.-based convenience store chain has purchase agreements on two locations in Superior and is eyeing two more possible sites, Kwik Trip’s chief financial officer Scott Teigen told the Duluth News Tribune.

“We’ll probably add approximately 15 new stores in 2013,” he said. “There’ll be at least two of them in Superior.”

Teigen told the newspaper that the company considers Superior and Duluth, Minn., a single market, and it is looking at growth in both cities.
