Love’s, Sheetz, Thorntons, more open new c-stores in June

The new stores from Love’s, Sheetz, Thorntons, Nouria, Maverik, Casey’s and Royal Farms span across the country, with locations in Ohio, Arizona, Tennessee, Maryland, Massachusetts, Utah, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas.

Love’s Travel Stops
Love’s, Oklahoma City, has opened new c-stores in West Jefferson, Ohio, and Winslow, Arizona.

In West Jefferson, Love’s new 13,500-square-foot travel stop is located at 540 Timmons Way, between Love’s Springfield and Groveport travel stops.
The location features a Love’s Fresh Kitchen concept with sandwiches, salads and fruit prepared in-store daily, plus a Hardee’s. It also offers self-checkout. The location will add 85 jobs, Love's said.
Forecourt amenities include eight diesel bays, 80 truck parking spaces, six bobtail parking spaces, five showers, Certified Automated Truck (CAT) scales and a dog park.
In Arizona, the Winslow store is the 16th location in the state and is 14,000 square feet. Love's said it will provide 100 jobs and feature a Love’s Fresh Kitchen as well as Arby’s and Dunkin'.
There are 81 truck parking spaces, a CAT scale, three RV hookups, two RV parking spaces, four RV dumps, laundry, showers, WiFi and a dog park.
Each new Love’s store has space for EV chargers to be able to quickly partner with local utility companies and install EV charging stations should there be customer demand.
Sheetz
Sheetz, Altoona, Pennsylvania, opened its new Fremont, Ohio location in mid-June, the company announced on LinkedIn.

This 11-acre site was previously home to a Quality Inn hotel and is situated just South of Interstate-80.
The new location features 10 high-flow diesel lanes and more than 40 parking spaces for commercial drivers.
Thorntons
bp-owned Thorntons opened a new store in Nashville at 3475 Dickerson Pike. This marks the 21st location in the Nashville market area and the 223rd store in the Thorntons network, the Louisville, Kentucky-based company said.

Set on 2.34-acre lot, the new store is a 4,400-square-foot facility featuring 16 auto fuel pumps, 37 parking spaces and self-checkout stations. The store also offers beverages and burritos, pizza and sandwiches.
“It’s an important time for our company as we are growing our brand to serve even more guests and provide more jobs in the communities where we operate,” said Greg Ruffoni, head of COCO (company owned, company operated) operations; bp customers and products; marketing and communications for the Americas.
Nouria
Nouria, Worcester, Massachusetts, has opened its latest convenience store and fuel station in Webster, Massachusetts.

The Webster store features a Kripsy Krunchy Chicken, a car wash, a bakery, an outdoor seating area and free WiFi.

Maverik
Maverik, Salt Lake City, has opened its 788th store in Kanab, Utah, the chain said in a LinkedIn post.
It’s located at 590 E. 300 S. Kanab, Utah.

Also in June, Mega Savers acquired three Nebraska Kum & Go stores from Maverik. Omaha-based Mega Saver has about 40 locations in Nebraska, Iowa and Florida, according to its website, with about half listed as Mega Saver convenience stores and gas stations and the other half listed as phone stores, car repair shops or computer and cellphone repairs stores.
Casey’s
Casey’s, Ankeny, Iowa, opened seven convenience stores in June in Oklahoma, Tennessee, Missouri and Kansas. The addresses are listed below.

Casey’s plans to open at least 80 stores in fiscal 2026, through a mix of mergers and acquisitions and new store construction, according to Casey’s CFO Stephen P. Bramlage on the company’s fourth-quarter and fiscal year 2025 earnings call.
