Convenience retailer Onvo has hired a new chief financial officer, Stephanie Mihal, it announced on LinkedIn

Mihal (pictured above) has more than 20 years of experience as a certified public accountant with McGrail Merkel Quinn & Associates, Onvo said. She replaces former Onvo CFO Fred Malloy.

  • Onvo is No. 163 on CSP’s 2024 Top 202 ranking of U.S. convenience-store chains by store count.

“Stephanie’s passion for her work and community involvement has led her to serve on various volunteer boards, such as the Outreach Center for Community Research and as the accounting department professional counselor at the University of Scranton,” Onvo said on LinkedIn. “When not at work or making a difference in the community, she enjoys attending sporting events, baking and spending time with her family, especially her sons.”

Mihal has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Scranton, according to her LinkedIn. She started her new role as CFO in January.

Onvo owned 39 stores as of Jan. 1, 2024. The Scranton, Pennsylvania-based convenience-store chain operates Onvo Express and Onvo Travel Plazas in central Pennsylvania and upstate New York.
