Savannah, Georgia-based convenience-store chain Parker’s Kitchen has reached a milestone. The retailer opened its 100th location on April 9 at 107 Sawmill Centre Drive in Summerville, South Carolina.

“This is our fourth new store of the year and our 100th retail location! Reaching 100 stores is the result of nearly 50 years of dedication, hard work, and passion—and we couldn’t have done it without our incredible team,” Ted Sadowski, senior vice president of Parker’s Kitchen said in a LinkedIn post.

The retailer is hosting a free event to celebrate the opening of its 100th store on April 23 at its store located at 1750 Grove Point Road in Savannah, Georgia. The celebration will feature special giveaways, photos with the retailer’s mascot Chewy, a live DJ booth and more.

As growth continues to be a priority, the convenience-store retailer has also made several leadership changes.

In March, the company appointed Brandon Hofmann as CEO succeeding Greg Parker the company founder who served as CEO for the past 50 years. The convenience-store chain also named John Rudolfs as president and CFO.

Hofmann, who is also overseeing the company’s expansion into new markets, including Jacksonville, Florida, Columbia, South Carolina, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, told CSP that “we are building 25 stores per year and employing 25 employees per store, so we are hiring 625 employees every year for new locations.”

In November the retailer closed on a $900 million syndicated credit facility that will enable the convenience-store retailer to expand its geographic footprint.

  • Parker Cos. is No. 86 on CSP’s 2024 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by store count.

Founded in 1976 as a one-store operation in Midway, Georgia, Parker’s Kitchen now employs more than 1,700 people and completes more than one million transactions weekly.
