Parker’s Kitchen is teaming up with Georgia Southern Athletics. The convenience-store chain said on Monday that the new long-term partnership will deepen the company’s commitment to Georgia Southern University and to the Statesboro, Georgia, community.

“It’s about connecting fans to the brands they know and love—and Eagle Nation loves Parker’s Kitchen,” said Chris Davis, director of athletics at Georgia Southern University.

The four-year partnership includes Parker’s first-ever name, image and likeness (NIL) partnership with Georgia Southern football standout Davion “Chewy” Rhodes, who shares the same nickname as the convenience store company’s iconic mascot.

Rhodes will also be the face of the new Parker’s Kitchen Chewy Rhodes Hot Honey Combo, which it will feature across digital platforms as well as in social media campaigns, in-store marketing and game-day activations.

“We’re incredibly excited to launch this new long-term partnership with the impressive team at Georgia Southern Athletics,” said Parker’s Kitchen CEO Brandon Hofmann. “Together, this multi-faceted partnership and NIL collaboration will showcase our continued investment in Georgia Southern University, supporting their successful athletics program while also strengthening our efforts to recruit Georgia Southern graduates to join our workforce.”

  • Parker's Kitchen is No. 73 on CSP’s 2025 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by store count.

The partnership also includes a newly branded, designated student entrance for home football games at Allen E. Paulson Stadium in Statesboro. The new collaboration officially debuted at Georgia Southern University’s home football game on Saturday, when the Eagles faced off against the University of Maine Black Bears at Paulson Stadium.

“This partnership is a definite win,” Davis said.

This isn’t the first collaboration between Parker’s Kitchen and Georgia Southern University. In 2018, Greg Parker, Parker’s Kitchen founder and executive chairman, made a $5 million donation to name the Parker College of Business at Georgia Southern University.

Parker’s Kitchen currently operates 103 stores across Georgia and South Carolina and employs more than 1,800 team members. The c-store retailer is currently expanding into new markets, including Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Jacksonville, Florida, and Columbia, South Carolina.
