Parkland Corp. has made several executive leadership changes.

The shifts are intended to bring the fuel marketer and convenience retailer’s Canadian and U.S. operations together, a Parkland spokesperson told CSP

  • Parkland Corp. is No. 38 on CSP’s 2024 Top 202 ranking of U.S. convenience-store chains by store count.

In December, Parkland named Marcel Teunissen as president of North America, overseeing the company’s Canadian and U.S. operations. The Calgary, Alberta-based company’s President and CEO Bob Espey said on April 16 he would step down from his role.

The other recent leadership changes, Parkland confirmed, are:

  • Elliott Collyer was promoted to vice president of growth and development in North America. He’s been with Parkland for more than 10 years, according to his LinkedIn page, and most recently was Parkland’s vice president of retail fuel and store merchandising. Before Parkland, he worked at business consulting company Accenture, Dublin.
  • Andrea Dafoe is now vice president of services and programs in North America. She has been at Parkland for nearly four years, most recently working as the vice president of Canadian operations services and programs. Before Parkland, she was at Canadian integrated energy company Suncor for 20 years, her LinkedIn page said.
  • Alison Manning was promoted to vice president of people and culture in North America. She’d been at Parkland for nearly 16 years, according to LinkedIn, and most recently was vice president of people and culture, Canada, at Parkland.

Parkland’s largest shareholder, Simpson Oil Ltd., has been critical of Espey’s delayed departure plan and of the Parkland Board of Directors’ ability to lead the company through its strategic review

The review aims to identify opportunities to maximize value for all shareholders. This could include asset divestments, acquisitions, transformative business combinations and a sale of the company.

Parkland Corp. has 210 company-operated c-stores in the United States under Parkland USA, with about 450 dealer sites. It has about 4,000 retail and commercial locations total. Its retail brands include On the Run. In September, it said it would sell its struggling Florida retail and commercial businesses
