A Peek Inside Douglass Distributing’s Latest Lone Star C-Store

SHERMAN, Texas -- Douglass Distributing has opened a newly renovated Lone Star Food Stores convenience store in Sherman, Texas, in the Texoma region.

This 24-year-old location, in its third iteration, “will further Lone Star Food’s goal of making their one-stop-shop retail stores truly convenient by offering more than just food and fuel,” the Sherman-based company said.

The c-store offers safety as a top priority through its enhanced lighting and openness and an improved security system.

The new store has an upgraded coffee experience, as well. This location offers TexaKona premium Kona Hawaii blend coffee, featuring the tagline “Where Hula Meets Howdy.”

The store offers four grades of gasoline, diesel, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and an electric-vehicle (EV) recharging station.

This 24-hour facility features new and improved restrooms, allowing customers the most sanitary experience possible, said the company. The no-touch restrooms have motion-activated toilet seat covers and a “Verge” wash bar with all-in-one touch-free faucets and automatic soap and dryer, as well as fresh flowers. Customers are also granted extra privacy with the floor-to-ceiling walls and doors in the restroom compartments.

The new Lone Star location also features a new dining room with wooden tables, chairs and floors, as well as a fireplace and a large TV.

Sherman, Texas-based Douglass Distributing Retail Co. operates a chain of 22 convenience stores and eight quick-service restaurants under the name Lone Star Food Stores.
