There are two new high-level promotions at Pilot Co., the travel center operator confirmed with CSP.
Jamie Landis (pictured) has been promoted to executive vice president, chief administrative officer, the company told CSP.
In addition to leading business planning and execution, she will now oversee Pilot’s people, safety, enterprise risk, procurement and communications functions, supporting more than 30,000 team members and helping drive the company’s long-term success, Pilot said.
Landis, who joined the Knoxville, Tennessee-based company in 2021, wrote in a LinkedIn post, “In this role, I’ll continue leading business planning and execution, return to my roots in people and culture and expand my responsibilities across safety, enterprise risk, procurement and communications.”
- Pilot Co. is No. 16 on CSP’s 2026 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by store count.
Landis most recently was senior vice president, business planning and execution, according to her LinkedIn page.
“Bringing these teams together gives us an opportunity to more deliberately connect how we run our company, how we work together and how we do work in service of our purpose-driven strategy,” she wrote in her post.
Landis is succeeding Julius Cox, who resigned last week. In a LinkedIn post, Cox wrote, “After an incredible chapter serving as Pilot’s chief people and administrative officer, I’ve decided to transition from my current role and start the next adventure in my life and career.”
Cox said he will remain at Pilot through the end of the year as an executive advisor to the CEO to ensure a smooth transition “and to continue supporting the important work of serving our team members, guests and customers.”
New role for Sam Edgmon
In addition, Sam Edgmon (pictured), who has been at Pilot since 2012, has been promoted to senior vice president, retail business development, where he will lead initiatives to expand and strengthen Pilot's retail network, support dealer partners and drive strategic growth across the business, Pilot said.
Edgmon most recently was vice president, operations business development, according to his LinkedIn page.
“In this role, I'll have the privilege of leading teams responsible for shaping the future of our network through growth, development, investment and execution,” Edgmon wrote in a LinkedIn post. “From strategic investments and site development to enhancing our retail offerings and guest experience, I'm excited to work alongside exceptional teams to create lasting value across our portfolio and create exceptional experiences for our guests.”
