Poppy Market opened its fourth convenience-store and fuel station in Adelanto, California, on Nov. 4. The chain is owned by Vintners Distributors/Loop Neighborhood Market, Fremont, California.

The brand debuted its first store in Arbuckle, California, in 2023 and has additional locations in Pittsburg, California, and Pismo Beach, California.

  • Vintners Distributors, which owns Loop Neighborhood Market, is No. 54 on CSP’s 2024 Top 202 ranking of U.S. convenience-store chains by store count.

“I couldn’t be more excited to bring Poppy Market to the incredible community of Adelanto,” said Varish Goyal, CEO of Poppy’s. “This is a huge milestone for us, and we can’t wait to be part of the neighborhood. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick snack, filling up your gas tank or just looking for a friendly place to connect, we’re here to make every visit memorable. Building strong relationships with our communities is at the heart of everything we do, and we’re looking forward to creating amazing moments with the residents and visitors of Adelanto.”

Poppy’s loyalty program offers 800 points for signing up, plus four points for every dollar spent in-store and two points per gallon of gas. Customers can enter their phone number at checkout and choose whether to use points right away or save up.

Poppy delivers with DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub and Postmates. The Arbuckle and Pittsburg stores have Crunchy Munchy Chicken full-service restaurants. The Arbuckle location also has a dog wash and a car wash. Electric vehicle (EV) charging is coming soon, according to the brand’s website.

Vintners Distributors, which operates the Loop Neighborhood Market and Poppy Market brands, is supported by more than 20 fuel tankers that are visible on the highways throughout the Bay Area, where more than 100 company-operated stores are located. The company also operates gas stations and car washes and develops real estate. Vintners has a wholesale division that delivers fuel to about 60 dealer locations in the market, but the company has no other influence on products or operations for those locations. Loop supports active and healthy lifestyles by carrying organic, natural and gluten-free products. It offers items more specifically targeted to female and millennial customers. Additionally, each location offers seating areas equipped with Wi-Fi.
