QuikTrip opened its 1,200th store in Morrow, Georgia, highlighting a growth milestone nationwide.

The new store opened Feb. 12 at 6459 Jonesboro Road, just north of Interstate 75. The new location marks QuikTrip’s 181st store in Georgia. QuikTrip entered the state in 1986 and has steadily expanded its footprint across the state, the company said. Additional stores are under construction in Acworth, Union City and Watkinsville, the Tulsa, Oklahoma, company said.

“The Atlanta metro area and the state of Georgia have been incredibly important to QuikTrip for nearly 40 years,” said QuikTrip Atlanta Director of Operations Robert Smith. “Reaching our 1,200th store is a milestone that reflects the strength of our business model—one built on taking care of employees, earning customer trust and showing up consistently for the communities we serve.

On the national level, QuikTrip has more than 80 new stores scheduled to open in 2026. This is part of a growth strategy built on operational consistency, employee retention and strong customer demand, the company said.

QuikTrip is also seeing growth in the Texas market.

The convenience-store retailer on Feb. 17 opened a new store in Galveston County at 205 FM 517 Road W., Dickinson, Texas, pushing its total to more than 300 locations statewide.

The retailer said it has plans to expand its footprint across the state with eight to 10 additional stores scheduled to open by the end of 2026 in the Houston metro area.

QuikTrip is a privately held company. Founded in 1958, the chain has grown to a more than $11 billion company with more than 31,000 employees.
