QuikTrip opened its first convenience store in Memphis, Tennessee, Thursday. The travel center is located at 1731 Whitten Road, off I-40 at Exit 14, and is the retailer’s seventh location in Tennessee, the Tulsa, Oklahoma-based company said.

The Memphis location features a more spacious store design than a traditional QuikTrip, offering service for 18 cars for gas and six diesel bays for trucks. The new location brings nearly two dozen new jobs to the area, QuikTrip said.

“We are excited to continue bringing QuikTrip’s signature commitment to quality and efficient service to Memphis,” said QuikTrip Corporate Communications Manager Aisha Jefferson.

QuikTrip’s expansion plans include other states as well. On Thursday, the retailer continued its Denver metro expansion with the opening of a new location in the suburb of Westminster at 8691 Sheridan Boulevard. The retailer now has 19 stores in the state of Colorado.

“The QuikTrip team is working hard to ensure our customers enjoy best-in-class service and amenities from day one, and we look forward to continuing our reputation as a good neighbor throughout Westminster and the Denver metro area,” said Jefferson.

Turning to the Midwest, QuikTrip on Thursday opened its second Rockford, Illinois, store located at 1555 Sandy Hollow Road.

“We’re thrilled to expand our presence in Illinois with our newest store in Rockford,” said Jefferson.

Since the beginning of 2025, QuikTrip has expanded its store unit growth with openings nationwide, including its first store in Indiana this month. Kentucky is on track to be state number 21, with a new store opening scheduled for late next month, QuikTrip told CSP. The new store in the Bluegrass State will be located in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
