QuikTrip opened its 15th location in Illinois on Thursday.

The travel center is located at 2202 W. Market St., west of Interstate 55 and Interstate 74 at Exit 160 in Bloomington, the Tulsa, Oklahoma-based convenience-store retailer said.

The c-store chain’s new travel center features a larger lot and a more spacious store design than a traditional QuikTrip and has room to service 20 vehicles for gas and six diesel bays for trucks.

“We are excited to expand QuikTrip’s signature commitment to quality and efficient service to Illinois by opening our new travel center in Bloomington,” said QuikTrip Corporate Communications Manager Aisha Jefferson. “Our travel center model will offer a clean and friendly stop for local residents as well as the many travelers driving through central Illinois.”

Inside the travel center, QuikTrip features a full-service kitchen with fresh, made-to-order meals and grab-and-go options, including breakfast tacos, hardwood smoked barbecue sandwiches, cold brew coffee and frozen treats like QuikTrip’s QuikShake. Fresh doughnuts, sub sandwiches, wraps, pizza by the slice and roller grill items are also available.

The new store employs about 24 people.

The Midwest isn’t the only area seeing unit growth for the c-store operator. On Monday the c-store chain opened the doors of its newest location in the Houston suburb of Conroe, Texas, at 270 FM 1488, just west of Interstate 45.

  • QuikTrip is No. 9 on CSP’s 2024 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by store count.

Founded in 1958, QuikTrip, has grown to a more than $11 billion company with more than 1,100 convenience stores in 19 states and employs over 31,000 people.
