QuikTrip Corp. has agreed to sell its nine MedWise urgent care facilities to health care provider Saint Francis Health System, Tulsa, Oklahoma, QuikTrip Corporate Communications Manager Aisha Jefferson told CSP

“We are extremely proud of what our MedWise Urgent Care teams have been able to build and grow over the last six years,” Jefferson said.

Jefferson said QuikTrip will be directing the proceeds from this transaction back to MedWise employees in the form of retention bonuses and other contributions.

QuikTrip opened its first MedWise in September 2020. The facilities treat non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses in both adults and children, without an appointment, including colds, allergies, burns and poison ivy, and lacerations, sprains, strains and broken bones. They also offer preventative care including physical exams, flu shots and vaccines.

“Through their efforts and excellent patient care, MedWise earned the only Urgent Care Association accreditation in Northeast Oklahoma and built an urgent care network the Tulsa community genuinely relies on,” Jefferson said.

Tulsa, Oklahoma-based QuikTrip is a privately held company. Founded in 1958, the chain has grown to a more than $11 billion company with more than 31,000 employees.
