Refuel promotes Monique Ravenel to vice president of foodservice

Refuel Operating Co. LLC has promoted Monique Ravenel to vice president of foodservice, according to a LinkedIn post by the convenience-store chain.

Ravenel, who has been at Refuel since 2023, previously was director of proprietary foods and QSR operations for the North Charleston, South Carolina-based company. Prior to joining Refuel, she spent nearly eight years as region restaurant leader for 7-Eleven, Irving, Texas, according to her LinkedIn profile.   

“Monique has done an outstanding job leading our QSR operations, and we can’t wait to see her take our entire foodservice division to the next level in this expanded role,” Refuel posted on its LinkedIn page.  

In her new role, Ravenel posted on her LinkedIn page that she is “excited to take on this new leadership role and drive innovation and excellence in our foodservice division.”

In September, Refuel also hired Michael Farnick as its director of food-service strategy and innovation. He joins Refuel after having served as senior category manager for Worcester, Massachusetts-based Nouria.

Refuel has a history of growth through acquisition. Most recently, it acquired eight Mississippi c-stores. In 2024, Refuel's store count grew by three locations. In 2023, Refuel acquired eight convenience stores through two separate deals. In 2022, Refuel made several acquisitions, including two CEFCO stores from Fikes Wholesale Inc and the assets of Embark Energy.
