Sheetz has named former PepsiCo executive Kristen Blum to its board of directors. The convenience-store chain said Blum’s appointment reflects its commitment to fostering strong corporate governance, driving innovation and positioning the company for long-term growth and success.
Blum was the senior vice president and chief information officer for PepsiCo’s Latin American division. She also served as chief information officer for Frito-Lay, along with other leadership positions within the Purchase, New York-based beverage and snack company.
Sheetz is No. 13 on CSP’s 2024 Top 202 ranking of U.S. convenience-store chains by store count.
Blum also worked at J.C. Penny, Abercrombie & Fitch, Apple and Disney. She also serves on the boards of Sprouts Farmers Market and GuideWell Mutual Holding Corp.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kristen to our board of directors,” said Joe Sheetz, former Sheetz CEO and current chairman of the Sheetz board. “Kristen brings a proven track record of transformative leadership and deep food and beverage industry expertise. Her strategic vision, exceptional business acumen and innovative approach will be instrumental as we accelerate Sheetz’s growth and continue to define the future of convenience and retail.”
The goal of the Sheetz Board of Directors is to hold senior leadership accountable to growing the company and operating with the company’s shareholders’ best interests in mind, the company said.
Established in 1952 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, Sheetz currently operates more than 740 convenience stores in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio and Maryland.
