Smoker Friendly Acquires 33-Store Chain

Adds Missouri cigarette, tobacco and liquor stores to portfolio

BOULDER, Colo. — The Cigarette Store Corp., doing business as Smoker Friendly, has acquired Smoker’s Outlet, a 33-store chain operating in Missouri. Smoker Friendly has taken over all the locations, which are cigarette, tobacco and liquor stores.

The company has retained the 120 employees who work for Smoker’s Outlet.

Smoker Friendly operates 102 stores in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska and Florida. With the addition of Smoker’s Outlet, the company will have 135 stores in six states, with more than 600 employees.

Smoker Friendly has a diverse portfolio of retail locations, with a variety of tobacco stores, premium cigar lounges and locations that also include fuel, beer, wine, liquor and lottery. It owns a private-label tobacco line and has an additional 710 licensee stores that participate in the SF Private-Label program.

The company also puts on the annual Smoker Friendly conference and tobacco festival.
