Stater Bros. to Open C-Store on Calif. Speedway Infield

Stater Express will operate Sept. 1-4

COLTON, Calif. -- Grocery retailer Stater Bros. Markets has announced the opening of its first Stater Express Convenience Store in the Infield at California Speedway in Fontana, during the upcoming NASCAR Labor Day Race Weekend. The Stater Express Convenience Store will open for business on Thursday, September 1, and will operate from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. through Sunday, September 4.

Stater Bros. is the "Official Grocery Store of California Speedway" and the title sponsor of the Stater Bros. 300 NASCAR Busch Series race, which will be held on Feb. 25, 2006 [image-nocss] at California Speedway.

At 2,400 sq. ft., the Stater Express Convenience Store, located in the center infield RV area on the backstretch, will be the largest convenience/grocery store in California Speedway history. This fully air conditioned c-store will offer a variety of meats, produce, ready-to-eat foods, baked goods as well as many nonfood items and will also feature special orders (orders received by 10:00 a.m. will be ready by 4:00 p.m.).

There are nearly 1,900 Reserved RV sites at California Speedway.

Yucaipa, Calif.-based Stater Bros. currently operates 161 supermarkets in California.
