WEST BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- VERC Enterprises, operator of 20 independent convenience stores with gasoline in eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire, recently celebrated the completion of a comprehensive renovation project for its West Bridgewater, Mass., Mobil location with a ribbon-cutting and words of congratulations from State Representative Christine Canavan (D).
Canavan toured the recently renovated facility. Prior to the VERC management, the site was used for a two-bay repair shop. Today, it is a state-of-the-art c-store, gas station and Dunkin [image-nocss] Donuts drive-through, the company said.
We are very pleased to be part of the West Bridgewater community, said Paul Vercollone, vice president, who participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony along with Canavan, VERC human resources director Barry Ahern, VERC West Bridgewater Store Manager Tariq Jameel and VERC district manager Anna Cononico. We are grateful that Rep. Canavan took time from her busy schedule to wish us well, and we hope to have the chance to work with her on some matters of community interest in the future.
With experience in acquiring sites and renovating throughout the area, VERC said it projects growth of three to five locations per year. Currently, it employs more than 160 people throughout the company, and it has undertaken an aggressive recruitment campaign for associates and assistant managers.
