OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. – Today I made my way to work in overcast, 3-degree temperatures. On Monday, though, I’m looking forward to seeing the sunny sky and 75 degrees that are expect in Glendale, Ariz., the site of CSP’s Convenience Retailing University conference.
For those of you not in-the-know, CRU is three days of convenience store and leadership emersion, starting with store tours, exclusive food-truck visits and a bowling tournament. From there, attendees get to work with general-session speakers chosen to inspire, educational workshops led by those in the trenches and networking events that are fun, useful and memorable.
But enough with the sales pitch, the bottom line is: CRU is a great event chock full of insights and fun. … Did I mention fun?
For those of you not attending our event, consider this your first insider look at what goes on. Over the next week, I’ll be your eyes and ears at the show, providing tidbits of information, photos and, I hope, even some gossip.
Remember last year’s exclusive performance by rocker Bret Michaels or the singular c-store we visited that is also a women’s boutique? How about the exclusive look at the suppliers most affecting the industry or the first time you tried that new Anheuser-Busch beer? See and read about them here first!
So consider me you man on the street, and watch CSPnet.com all week for the latest updates and CSP Daily News for the biggest headlines from this singular event!
