FORT WORTH, Texas Yesway has opened four new-to-industry Allsup’s-branded locations as the retailer continues its “furious pace” of growth in 2022, opening a total of 30 NTI and relocated convenience stores to date. The new stores are in Colorado City, Claude and San Angelo, Texas, and Carlsbad, N.M. The Yesway portfolio now stands at 410 stores.

These new Allsup’s stores each have 5,630 square feet of merchandising space, 24 fueling positions and high-speed diesel fueling lanes. They are among the latest of the new large-format stores Yesway has developed and rapidly bringing to market. The stores are open 24 hours a day, and customers can find Allsup’s famous burritos; a variety of Yesway and Allsup’s private-label snacks; a new trucker and automotive section; Allsup’s bread, milk and eggs; and a beer cave, along with amenities including Western Union service, ATM availability and Coin Cloud digital currency machines offering more than 30 digital currencies.

“We have been renovating, rebuilding and constructing our Allsup’s and Yesway stores at a furious pace this year, and it is thanks to our talented team that we have been able to do so,” said Tom Trkla, chairman and CEO of Yesway, Fort Worth, Texas. “We look forward to serving our customers in Claude, Colorado City, San Angelo and Carlsbad. We invite everyone to celebrate with us at our community-centered grand openings later this fall, which will feature concerts, special promotions and localized philanthropic outreach.”

These follow the previously announced openings of new Allsup’s stores in Breckenridge, Canyon, Mineral Wells, and Robert Lee, Texas, and Alamogordo and Artesia, N.M., as well as numerous grand opening celebrations of new Allsup’s stores in Abilene, Azle, Bangs, Decatur, Friona, Hereford, Merkel, Tuscola and Wall, Texas; Roswell, N.M., and Guymon, Okla., earlier this year.

Yesway acquired the Allsup’s chain in 2019. In 2020, the company raised an additional $235 million of equity capital, $135 million of which it would invest in targeted real estate capital projects.

Owned by BW Gas & Convenience Holdings and an affiliate of Beverly, Mass.-based real-estate and private-equity investment and asset management company Brookwood Financial Partners, Yesway is a multi-branded platform that acquires, transforms and enhances portfolios of c-stores by leveraging expertise in real estate and technology and by implementing data-driven decision making. Its portfolio consists of more than 400 retail outlets in Texas, New Mexico, South Dakota, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Wyoming, Oklahoma and Nebraska under both the Yesway and Allsup’s c-store brands.
