Yesway has raised more than $1 million over the past two years through its annual Golf & Clays Classic charitable fundraising tournaments. The fast-growing convenience-store chain strives to play a role in the communities where each of its 435 stores are located, it said.
“We are grateful to our partners and suppliers for their generous support and thank them all for joining us in supporting the communities our devoted customers, team members, neighbors and fans call home,” said Tom Trkla, chairman, president and CEO of Yesway.
The Golf & Clays Classic event is held at the Cowboys Golf Club and Elm Fork Shooting Sports in Dallas. Beneficiaries of the 2022 event included Operation Homefront, a nonprofit whose mission is to help build strong, stable and secure military families, and the Christian Outdoor Alliance, which offers hunting and fishing activities to guide youth to a stronger relationship with Christ.
Yesway also supports the communities where its stores are located, donating more than $54,000 in 2022 to a variety of local charities, civic organizations, first responders and military and veterans groups.
Yesway plans to open 28 new stores in 2023. Its most recent acquisition was five Ranglers c-stores in Clifton, Hamilton and Hico, Texas.
