CSP Daily News and parent company Informa Connect will host their first-ever CSPC-Store Cannabis Forum next year, recognizing the fast growth of hemp-THC products in convenience stores.

The event will take place March 23-25 at The Westin Chicago Lombard, just west of the city’s downtown.

"By launching a Cannabis Forum, we’re investing in community, education and best practices that help c-stores navigate regulation, drive profitability and foster trusted consumer journeys,” said Amanda Buehner, executive vice president of Informa Retail.

Even as regulatory issues around hemp-THC products continue to be debated at the state and federal levels, the segment continues to grow.

Daily or near-daily cannabis consumers have surpassed daily alcohol users in recent years, according to Carnegie Mellon University data. Sales of hemp-THC drinks are expected to grow from $382 million last year to nearly $750 million by 2029, according to the Brightfield Group.

The C-Store Cannabis Forum will feature education sessions on a range of topics, including regulatory issues, consumer trends, retailer case studies and much more. It will also include research, product updates and networking opportunities for retailers and suppliers.

The forum is a good fit for convenience retailers, category managers, suppliers and more.

CSP also hosts the CSP C-Store Cannabis Board, dedicated to advocacy and education in the space. It has a roster of segment stakeholders that includes retailers, suppliers and industry experts, chaired by Melissa Vonder Haar, managing director of Tradeworks for iSEE.
