Starting The Conversation

The summer of 2020 put America on notice. The deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and more Black men and women prompted protests across the country, and drove many corporations to acknowledge racism in the United States and strive to be part of the solution.
For convenience—store owners, this was nothing new. Whether it was a c-store chain’s first time taking notice of diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) efforts within its organization, or building upon a foundation previously set, many enacted changes in the past year.
