Branded chicken provider Krispy Krunchy Chicken is launching a $4 value meal available in two options: two pieces of dark meat bone-in fried chicken or two hand-breaded white meat Cajun tenders.

Value is more important than ever in today’s economy, and that’s especially true for our operators’ guests,” said Jim Norberg, CEO of Krispy Krunchy Chicken, Alexandria, Louisiana. “We represent quality, craveability and value—and so as these guests demand more value, we’re finding a way to make it happen without compromising on quality. Our operators recognize the need to keep traffic strong, and this offer will do that.”

The bone-in option includes a choice of a two-piece combo of hand-breaded mild Cajun-spiced drumsticks, thighs or wings. Each meal, both available now, is served with potato wedges, which are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

“Krispy Krunchy Chicken uses mild Cajun marinade and custom breading every time, with chicken made in small batches right before serving,” said the company, adding that the value meal fits a budget “while focusing on the products that made the brand so popular.”

This limited-time offer is available 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday at participating locations while supplies last. This offer is available only for pickup and not through DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub or other digital platforms.

Norberg, named CEO in February, told CSP in April that menu enhancements are part of Krispy Krunchy Chicken’s new growth strategy. Krispy Krunchy Chicken in 2023 celebrated a record-breaking year by opening nearly 500 new units and implementing strategic tactics including a simplified menu, supply chain optimizations and the launch of its Cajun Chicken Sandwich. The company, with locations in 47 states, also added a new corporate office in Atlanta.

Krispy Krunchy Chicken, which plans to open more than 700 stores in 2024, with a year-end goal of more than 3,500 locations, has a weekly chicken sales volume exceeding 1 million pounds.

Founded in Louisiana in 1989, Krispy Krunchy Chicken is a quick-serve solution for convenience stores, truckstops, universities, casinos and big-box retailers across the United States. The store-in-store concept allows licensees to serve fried chicken and a full menu that also includes a variety of sides and the brand’s trademarked honey biscuits.
