VANCOUVER, British Columbia — 7-Eleven Canada has debuted a new pizza recipe in all stores throughout the country.

The hand-panned pizza combines authentic Italian cuisine with Canadian ingredients, the company said. The dough is made with 100% Canadian wheat and sourdough bread from Puglia, Italy. Toppings include slow-dry cured pepperoni from Montreal, provolone and Parmesan cheeses from Ontario and mozzarella cheese from British Columbia. Each cheese is made with 100% Canadian milk.

“Our goal for our new pizza recipes was to provide a quality, delicious pizza hot from our store ovens in minutes—24/7 or delivered to your home,” said Norman Hower, vice president and general manager of 7-Eleven Canada. “The crust is arguably the most important piece of the pie, so we took our time to develop an authentic-tasting dough that we knew people would love.”

By Dec. 16, 7-Eleven will also make 60 more locations available for delivery, bringing the total to 410 stores.

In August 2019, 7-Eleven Canada added a Beyond Meat Pizza to its Hot-to-Go menu in select locations in Toronto. The meat-free pizza is made with 100% plant-based Italian sausage crumbles—also known as Beyond Sausage—fire-roasted vegetables and Canadian cheese. Consumers can purchase the pizza made to order or as a frozen option to cook at home.

Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven operates, franchises or licenses more than 66,000 stores in 17 countries, including about 9,100 in the United States. The chain is No. 1 on CSP’s 2019 Top 202 ranking of c-store chains by total number of company-owned retail units. 7-Eleven Canada is based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
