In 1964, 7-Eleven began selling coffee by the cup and soon introduced the concept of to-go coffee cups to customers nationwide, and the convenience-store retailer—now also with brands including Speedway and Stripes—is thanking customers for patronizing the chain over the last 60 years with a new coffee promotion. Through Dec. 30, 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards members can get a small cup of any fresh-brewed coffee for 60 cents every Monday at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores nationwide. The promotion began Nov. 3.

The offer is good for four cups per day at 7-Eleven and Stripes locations, unlimited purchases at Speedway stores.

Customers can also pick up a limited-edition 60th anniversary reuseable mug while supplies last.

7-Eleven also has created a limited-time Birthday Cake Cappuccino. Customers can try the delicious yellow cake and frosting-flavored cappuccino infused with sprinkles at participating stores, available only at 7-Eleven locations.

“As we celebrate 60 years of offering fresh-brewed coffee to-go, we’re excited to thank our loyal customers who have made 7-Eleven their go-to coffee spot for decades with a special deal to help kickstart their week,” said Dennis Phelps, senior vice president of merchandising for vault and proprietary beverages. “This anniversary is a reminder of how far we’ve come in shaping coffee culture, and we look forward to continuing to deliver the best in convenience and innovation to coffee lovers nationwide.”

Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven Inc. operates, franchises or licenses more than 83,000 convenience stores in 19 countries and regions, including more than 13,000 7-Eleven convenience stores in the United States and Canada.
