7-Eleven, Pilot to Offer Pi Day Pizza Specials

IRVING, Texas, and KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — 7-Eleven and Pilot Co. will offer pizza discounts to celebrate Pi Day, the annual celebration of the mathematical constant pi, or 3.14.

7-Eleven’s specials include 50-cent slices and whole pizzas for $3.14. Both deals apply only to members of 7-Eleven’s 7Rewards loyalty program and users of the 7Now mobile app. Customers are limited to purchasing one slice and one whole pizza each. Pizza varieties include Pepperoni, Extreme Meat and Triple Cheese. The deal runs on March 14 only.

"7-Eleven's mission is to make life more convenient for customers, and having 7-Eleven seamlessly delivered to customers doors in 30 minutes or less through the 7Now delivery app takes convenience to the next level," said Chris Tanco, executive vice president and COO of 7-Eleven. "Pi Day pizza prices make Saturday the perfect time to try out delivery and also some great pizza, one of the most frequently ordered products on 7Now."

Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven operates, franchises or licenses more than 66,000 stores in 17 countries, including more than 9,300 in the United States. The chain is No. 1 on the Top 40 update to CSP’s 2019 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by number of retail outlets. CSP will release the complete 2020 list in June.

Pilot Co. will offer $5 off on whole pizzas through March 15 to customers who use the Pilot Flying J mobile app. As part of the special, every pizza will be an extra-large (16 inches in diameter). Pilot’s pizza varieties include Pepperoni, Mega Meat and Supreme, which contains pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, onions, olives and mushrooms. The chain also has two breakfast pizzas one limited-time offer pizza on the menu, the latter of which is currently Chicken Cordon Bleu.

Knoxville, Tenn.-based Pilot Co. is No. 12 on the Top 40 update to CSP’s 2019 Top 202 ranking.
